

22 Bills Introduced in NA
As many as 22 bills were introduced to National Assembly on a private members day with the government not opposing most of the bills coming from treasury as well as opposition members. In four bills amendments have been proposed in the Constitution while some other relate to women security and better environment at workplace, Qazf Ordinance, postal services management, family courts act, civil servants act and removal from service laws, Islamabad Wildlife Protection, elimination of printing and recording error in publishing of the Holy Quran and some other matters.
The members also introduced ‘The Pakistan Postal Services Management Board (Amendment) Bill, 2008’ ‘The Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2008’ ‘The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2008’ ‘The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2008’ to amend the Article 11 of the Constitution.
Other bills introduced include ‘The Prevention of Harassment at Workplace Bill, 2008’ ‘Drugs Amendment Bill 2008’ ‘The Prevention of Harassment at Workplace Bill 2008’ ‘The Islamabad Wildlife (protection, preservation, conservation and management) Amendment Bill 2008’ ‘The Publication of the Holy Quran (elimination of printing and recording errors) Amendment Bill 2008’ ‘The Family Courts Amendment Bill 2008’ ‘The Medical devices Bill 2008’ ‘The Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation Amendment Bill 2008’ ‘The Removal from Service (Special Powers) (Repeal) Bill 2008’ ‘The Constitution Amendment Bill 2008 (for insertion of new article 245A)’ ‘The Constitutional Amendment Bill 2008 for amendment of article 51 and 59’ ‘The Code of Civil Procedure Amendment Bill 2008’ ‘The Constitution Amendment Bill 2008 to amend article 251’ ‘The working Women (Protection of Rights) Bill 2008.’
