Training Program & Skills

ULC Training Program offers practical, hands-on training workshops covering a wide range of today's legal and commercial issues. Our aim is to provide professional training directly relevant to your business needs. The firm prides itself on its professional standards and conduct. Training is therefore an essential and integral part of the firm to ensure that we offer and maintain the highest standards of work.

All of our team members are specialist lawyers, which mean they can provide insight into realistic problems and situations - invaluable experience to share with you.You will be supported by a highly professional in-house team that will train, coach and educate you in everything you need to know.

Realizing your potential

From the moment you arrive at ULC you will begin to learn, not just through undergoing the compulsory requirement of the Bar for obtaining license to practice law, but also through a series of structured training programs, seminars, workshops for developing your technical legal skills and wider business expertise.

Legal skills training

Lawyers in our different practice areas regularly present updates to colleagues and to clients on new developments in law and practice in their specialist areas. Structured training programs on core legal areas are organized at a departmental level for trainees and associates.

Our trainees work side-by-side with our partners, doing real work on live cases: giving advice; dealing with clients; drafting documents; corresponding with counsel and learning to practice the law. We’re also strong believers in continuity. The cases you work on as a trainee stay with you until the file is closed, allowing you to follow your work through to its conclusion.

To complement the legal training, we also develop your skills, with sessions ranging from mock trials to presentation and negotiation skills. You work on real cases – attending court and hearings and meeting clients, drafting correspondence, doing legal research
