We deal with the matters of Constitutional Law like cases of Fundamental Rights, Security of Person, Safeguards as to arrest and detention, slavery, forced labor etc., Protection against retrospective and Double punishment, Self-incrimination, Inviolability of Dignity of person (man, woman and child) , Freedom of Movement, Assembly, Association, Trade Business or Profession and Speech, to profess and to manage religious institution, Safeguard as to educational institutions, Safeguard against Taxation for purposes of any particular religion and discrimination in services, protection of property rights, family and minorities, preservation of language, script and culture.
ULC has an experienced group of attorneys who provide advice, counsel and litigation services to clients on a wide array of constitutional issues. Members of the Practice Group have substantial experience interpreting, analyzing and litigating constitutional issues and in challenging the constitutionality of local, provincial and federal laws.
A substantial portion of our work consists of representing individuals challenging governmental laws and regulations that infringe on their constitutional rights.
ULC also represents organizations and entities in connection with defending against constitutional challenges to their policies, procedures, and practices.
